Lyle's father, Jacob Hoidal, emigrated to America in July of 1906. His brother, Ludwig, came on a different ship, but sailed into Sault Ste. Marie, while Jacob came through New York. They eventually met up in Minnesota.

I have a lot of the story written, but have some additions and some tweaking to do. When it is done, I will post it and let everyone know. — Jean Hoidal
